Mike Kushliak
Plant Manager
For over 20 years, with a
solid and diverse career in
manufacturing, Mike’s base
responsibility and approach
has remained the same
“Customer Satisfaction with
respect to delivery and
quality while continuously
searching for cost
effective, consistent and
productive methods of
producing the end product.”
“We get there by constantly
monitoring the product as it
progresses through the
production floor, while
reviewing tooling, process
instructions and training
requirements of assembly
personnel while continuously
monitoring the costs.”
Mike has extensive
experience with applying the
Five “S” and LEAN
manufacturing models to the
production line and is
dedicated to continuous
improvement in all areas. In
addition, Continuous Flow,
Kanban, TPM, Pull and Set Up
Reduction are all part of
the effective processes that
Mike and Guardian
Manufacturing use to meet
customer requirements.
High expectations for
himself and his team,
innovative problem solving
abilities and a focused
drive for quality results,
will lead them to success.
From individual team roles
to tooling, equipment,
materials, packaging and
shipping, all elements are
highly choreographed and
finely tuned from start to
finish.
Mike has expressed his
creative side working as a
volunteer designing and
building props, designing
and installing lighting,
producing video tapes and
photographing performances
for a church children’s
musical theater ensemble. He
likes to spend time in his
home woodworking and
electronics workshops,
rounding out his leisure
time with camping, downhill
and water skiing.
