During Process Review & Setup services
are provided on a value added basis
Product review
Often referred to as a DFM/DFT review,
process assesses the product for
manufacturability and testability (where
applicable).
DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
The review assesses component selection,
board layout, panel configurations,
mechanical assembly, etc. The purpose is to
understand the product and identify the most
efficient process for the assembly of the
product.
DFT (Design for Testability)
DFT is a review of the product from a test
process perspective. What type of testing is
required, how will the unit under test
interface to the test equipment? Are there
interfacing issues, etc?
Production planning and Quotation
BOM’s are reviewed and validated for
accuracy.
Quotes are generated based on allocation of
resources and manufacturing requirements.
Component Selection
Components are reviewed for risk assessment,
availability and pricing (turn key service
only, does not apply to consignment builds).
Parts Procurement
Sources are identified and qualified.
Components are ordered on a JIT basis (turn
key service only, does not apply to
consignment builds).
After-sales Support
After sales support is listed on the SMTC
site under same subject heading. Do we want
to say something as well? Follow-up?
